The Capacitor Bank

The Goal: Fit as many caps as possible onto a 6"x8" double sided copper clad board.

The caps used are 0.68uF 1200V. Since my IGBT is rated at 2500V, I want to put 2 caps in series to get a voltage rating of 2400V (Higher voltage = more energy stored Ecap = 0.5*C*V2 )

The finished cap bank. There are 120 caps on the board, 2 caps connected in series and 60 of these strings in parallel. Which results in a 20.4uF 2400V capacitor.

A close up shot of the capacitors. I need to get a better picture.
