Miscellaneous
I have
collected/built a few interesting items over the years. First item is a
piston from an Evolution series locomotive.
It weighs in at 135 lbs. Its amazing that there are 16 of these moving 18
times a second inside the engine. I also have the end cap for it. It’ll be
painted up nicely and I’m going to hang it on the wall of my garage some
day.

I
built this one night mostly out of boredom. Its rather crude, but its not
too bad for being whipped up in a couple of hours. The speakers i used came from several pairs of old computer speakers.
I’m running it off an old car
CD player in the garage.

My Oscilloscopes. These were purchased from GE salvage for a whopping $0.25
/ lb. The top one is a basic analog scope. Its not the greatest, but it
works and only cost ~$6.00. The bottom scope is a pretty sweet digital
storage scope, these still sell for ~$300.00 on ebay, I got mine for $5.75.
I also picked up a monstrous tek 7800-series scope for another $12.00.
